High Desert Pest Control
Wasp Control
Wasps build nests under eaves, in attic vents, and around play areas and patios. Their stings are a real hazard for kids, pets, and anyone allergic.
Call Now — (442) 437-8396Signs of a wasp problem
- Nests under eaves, in vents, or in trees and shrubs
- Steady wasp traffic around a specific spot
- Wasps around trash, food, or sweet drinks outdoors
How we handle it
We treat and remove accessible nests and treat common nesting points to discourage rebuilding. (We focus on the nests we can safely reach.)

How wasps get inside
- Open or torn attic vents and gable vents
- Gaps in soffit boards and fascia
- Wall voids accessed through utility penetrations
- Block wall cavities that face the home's interior
When they're most active
Wasp activity ramps up in early summer as queens establish nests, peaks in late summer when colonies are largest, and tapers in fall. The most aggressive period is August — colonies are at peak size and workers are stressed by dwindling food sources.
What you can do before we get there
A few quick things you can do today that'll make any treatment — ours or your own — work better.
- Inspect under eaves and around play areas every spring for early nest starts (much easier to handle small)
- Keep outdoor trash cans tightly sealed
- Don't leave open soda cans or sweet drinks outside
- Patch torn screens on attic and roof vents
