High Desert Pest Control
Spider Control
Black widows are common across the High Desert, nesting in block walls, garages, woodpiles, and the corners of your eaves. Knocking down webs isn't enough — you have to treat the harborage and the insects spiders feed on.
Call Now — (442) 437-8396Signs of a spider problem
- Webs in corners, eaves, garages, and block walls
- Egg sacs in sheltered, low-traffic areas
- Black widows around woodpiles, meters, and outdoor furniture
How we handle it
We knock down and treat webbing, treat the cracks and voids where spiders hide, and reduce the other bugs they hunt. Fewer prey insects means fewer spiders sticking around.

How spiders get inside
- Gaps around garage door weather seals and pet doors
- Open vent screens (attic, dryer, crawlspace) with torn mesh
- Cracks in block walls that connect outside harborage to inside spaces
- Hitching a ride on boxes, firewood, and patio furniture brought inside
When they're most active
Black widows are active year-round in the High Desert but become much more visible from May through September. Females stay near their webs; males wander looking for mates and end up indoors. Egg sacs hatch in summer, multiplying the population fast if not treated.
What you can do before we get there
A few quick things you can do today that'll make any treatment — ours or your own — work better.
- Shake out shoes, gloves, and outdoor cushions before using them
- Keep woodpiles, rock piles, and stored boxes away from the house
- Seal gaps around utility penetrations and garage doors
- Reduce outdoor lighting near doors — bright lights attract the insects spiders eat
