High Desert Pest Control
Ant Control
Ants are the number-one call we get in the High Desert. Once a trail finds food or water inside your home, the colony keeps sending more — and store-bought sprays often just split the colony and make it worse.
Call Now — (442) 437-8396Signs of a ant problem
- Trails of ants along counters, baseboards, or the foundation
- Ants around sinks, dishwashers, or pet bowls
- Small piles of dirt or debris near walls and walkways
How we handle it
We treat the active trails, the nest entry points, and create an exterior barrier so new colonies can't move in. Recurring service keeps them out for good — and if they come back between visits, so do we.

How ants get inside
- Gaps around plumbing penetrations and electrical conduits
- Weep holes in stucco and brick that lead into the wall void
- Door sweeps that are worn down or don't seat against the threshold
- Cracks in the slab perimeter, especially around patios and garages
When they're most active
High Desert ant activity ramps up sharply in March and stays high through October. Spring rains push colonies indoors looking for dry ground; summer heat drives them in looking for water. A recurring barrier set up before April keeps them out all season.
What you can do before we get there
A few quick things you can do today that'll make any treatment — ours or your own — work better.
- Wipe down counters at night and don't leave pet food out overnight
- Store sugar, honey, and syrup in sealed containers
- Trim shrubs and tree limbs that touch the house — ants use them as bridges
- Avoid spraying visible trails with store-bought spray; it scatters the colony and makes it harder to treat
